Once a successful professional, Coach Kb found herself grappling with hardship when she lost her dream job. Over the course of nine months of unemployment, she battled severe depression, self-doubt, and mounting debt. But one day, while in tears applying for jobs on LinkedIn, her partner suggested she take a break, recalling the soap-making supplies she had purchased a year before but never used.
Reluctantly, Coach Kb headed downstairs, watched some instructional videos on YouTube, and tried her hand at Soap making . As she experimented with this new hobby, she began to understand the healing power of creativity. Slowly but surely, natural soap making lifted her spirits and brought her out of the darkness that had consumed her.
Recognizing the transformative potential of this newfound therapy, Coach Kb questioned the impact it could have on others—particularly women and young girls who were more susceptible to mental health issues. Driven by her own experiences and passion for change, she founded Ready to Live Soaps and channeled that energy into helping others through art therapy.
Thanks to Coach Kb's determination and ingenuity, Ready to Live Soaps quickly went from a small-scale concept to a thriving business. In less than six months, she transitioned from working out of her kitchen to owning a brick-and-mortar location in Castleberry Hill. Her unique blend of mindset coaching and art therapy—dubbed Soap Therapy—attracted customers from all around Atlanta and beyond.
Ready to Live Soaps not only provided people with the opportunity to experience hands-on crafting of all-natural handmade soaps but also created a space for relaxation, introspection, and community bonding. The interactive soap-making workshops helped participants release stress while tapping into their creative potentials.
Moreover, Coach Kb's commitment to community involvement shone through in various ways: donating unused soap to local shelters and homeless groups; hosting free weekend soap-making workshops for teenagers; feeding families in need; and partnering with nonprofit organizations focused on mentoring young people. By using her personal journey as a beacon of hope, Coach Kb is on a mission to help those suffering from mental illness find solace and meaning through the power of creativity and intentional acts of kindness.
